Social Mental Health during COVID-19 Pandemic in Iran: A cross-sectional study among the general population of Razavi Khorasan province, Iran

Background: The potential impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on social mental health has become a great concern and current situation can cause different disorders. According to importance health, we performed this study evaluate status general population Iran in Razavi Khorasan province. Methods: online survey was conducted made available for through snowball sampling technique within week. demographic information, contact history with COVID-19, physical symptoms COVID-19 were collected by survey. To maintain population's status, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-21) used. Filling maximum two members family considered reduce risk bias. Results: Finally, 461 responders from province included study. In total, 41.8% investigated depression symptoms, 32.1% anxiety mood 34.5% had stress symptoms. ratio men women approximately 1:2. Most 30-40 years most frequent marital being single. Families 3-5 organized 81.5% responders. Near one-third studied bachelor as educational status. Conclusion: our paying attention population’s is important during conducting protocols prevent or disorders that be caused situation.
